Smooz connects your Slack account with other teams, through one dedicated channel per connected team. The Smooz bot in these channels reads everything that is being written, and writes the messages sent by the other team.
Smooz does not read anything in other channels, where the Smooz bot is not present.
You understand that everything written in the channels where the Smooz bot operates, will be copied in the channel of the Slack team it is connected to. Beyond this, Smooz will never share the content of the conversation or the teams you are connected to, to anybody.
No message or file is saved in our database. The fact that you sent or received a message or a file is logged, for statistical purpose, to improve our operations, as well as to help debugging potential technical issues. The content itself of the messages and the files, are not logged. Smooz operates its app on the Heroku platform (see https://www.heroku.com/policy/privacy).
Smooz does not store any password. Access to your Slack account is only done through Slack API.
Smooz will send you a welcome email when you install the app in your Slack account. Beyond that, we may send you (rare) emails about Smooz, such as new features.
We will never share your personal informations with third parties except in the following limited circumstances: (i) Smooz has your explicit consent to do so; (ii) Smooz acts in good faith under a legal obligation to share the data; (iii) Smooz needs to access or share the data to protect the security of the service or of others users’ data; (iv) Smooz needs to access or share the data to protect Smooz rights and property.
We collect Google Analytics data for visits on this website (see http://www.google.com/privacy). We can also collect usage statistics of Smooz - such as number or frequency of messages. However, such statistics may only be published or shared in an aggregated, anonymized way.
We do not display advertisements in any of our products, and we do not share any information with advertisers.
